| The comparison of this new version to the original, compared to a thoroughbred horse farm of a Kentucky Derby. This version has new actors filling the shoes of established characters, but none have the quality to stay the course of history, causing their plane to crash. The original was James Stewart and Richard Attenborough, with performances worthy of Academy Awards and established the foundations of a true classic. Moreover, the rest of the cast was of themselves and even Ronald Fraser gave a stirring performance as Sgt. Watson. Senior veteran actors like Peter Finch, Hardy Krüger, Ernest Borgnine, Ian Bannen, Christian Marquand, Dan Duryea and George Kennedy, gave all the original star, solid and allowed Phonix growing power of the screen in the memory of its viewers . This new version has Dennis Quaid as Frank Townes quite nice, but far less convincing in his character. Overall, the new version is, like most Remakes, well below the original. Sorry, but this Flight of the Phoenix Adventure should have been abandoned in the desert with the remains of the plane crash. ** |
| The remake of the movies in general does not reach its original height. This is no exception. The reason is obvious: the bass are in the movement's history. This is brutally apparent when the Mongols in the Gobi desert talk Cantonese, a dialect used by the Chinese of Hong Kong Limited and part of southern China. | Possibly the worst Flight of the Phoenix Adventure movie I've ever seen. The address was wrong with the Flight of the Phoenix Adventure film just randomly stumble from one scene to another. The script must have been the most banal that I have heard and can not have been written by an adult. The music is appalling and completely inappropriate and intrusive. The absolute rubbish "songs" are even more inappropriate and intrusive. There was a time when I felt that the actors were remotely interested. The female, as is usual cast politically correct reasons, was as it gets unbearable. The way the old aircraft became the new plane is the equivalent of "loaves and fishes" topped only by the sudden transformation from the finished product is buried in the sand to be in pristine condition and aligned to fly very low later. I have always believed in the magic of pure horror movies, but this parody of a DivX film Flight of the Phoenix the last straw. Does not deserve even 1, but 0 is not allowed by the system. |
| This is definitely in my top five of the worst movies I've ever seen. I'm giving it a two because they actually really enjoyed the flight sequences in the beginning ... so until the sandstorm begins the Flight of the Phoenix movie is good. If you've ever taken flying lessons, hell, if you've ever had anything to do with a level short of sitting in the back to drink orange juice and eating peanuts, you'll be amazed at all the technical inaccuracies in this film. .. its actually quite funny that way I guess. Some people mentioned that they liked the original, so it must have been very different. Build a plane that flies ... actually in the desert ... without expertise, apart from their small aircraft design ... right ... If we can build af ****** plane why you simply set the radio and ask for help? So these are the main things could go on and on, but frankly I'm just going to stop here and try to forget that I have even seen this Flight of the Phoenix movie ... |
| I am surprised that in the planning of this production, the writers (Scott Frank, Edward Burns) were pilloried in the public square. This was never going to be a tough story to tell ... is a straight "man against the odds" drama / thriller special effects ... and not a property or is waiting Oscar winning fiction, but Jeepers! The script is a bomb, and much of the dialogue is so incredibly banal, and that weakens a little history, and makes the actors seem complete idiots (I'm surprised that his consent to the repetition of lines). It takes money to make even a bad Flight of the Phoenix Adventure movie ... I was signing the checks in this even read the script. |
| From a big-budget Hollywood, there are a few things you can expect: Half-decent players and a good basis CGI. Despite being a big-budget Hollywood, this had not. The view from the cabin seemed so realistic driving on the old sit-com does. Dennis Quaid gives a performance generally OK, but mainly because of the terrible script that is pretty bad in this. Actually, I think the script was the biggest drop in the whole film. The characters have no depth whatsoever, most lines were terrible, and that even the actors are very good, very bad, EX-David Quaid and Hugh Laurie. The only thing well-written character is one of the less pleasant I've seen in a long time. The action moves to the fast, there is no time for anything what so ever to develop. Introducing elements of the plot, and then forgot about everything. This movie: Flight of the Phoenix does not even work as a murderer of time without end, I would not recommend it at all. After watching this, I am more concerned than ever about the omen remake. They are led by the same person ... all I can say is be afraid. Be very afraid ... 3.5/10 |
