| This is the first DVD film Crash that forced me to say something about how bad it was. This Crash Thriller movie is bad on so many levels, I have to write a novel of 2000 pages to explain half of it. So I just stick to one of the worst aspects of it. This Crash Thriller movie suggests that all acts and reacts according to each race. That is not true. Push, force, pushing, and the idea stomps down the throat of the audience that whites are rich, racist, and fear of other races. If there was such thing as politically correct police station in the U.S., this would be the film: Crash people would be forced to watch in prison. Whatever ideological crazed this DivX film Crash (or hot, salty vomit as I call it) is trying to do, not only beat a dead horse. Bludgeons a dead horse, mutilated the carcass, and then spoon the rest of the channels down the throat of anyone who happened to see. |
| Good acting and production values can not overcome the derivative sophomoric script and Paul Haggis. La was much better in Short Cuts and Magnolia (Haggis added a portion of the Grand Canyon for good measure). Altman and Paul Thomas Anderson managers can view only Haggis pounds with what passes for emotion. When the snow began to fall into the Hollywood Hills toward the end of the movie: Crash it became clear that the first time, the director needed a guardian. The script was predictable with the argument beyond the lines telegraphed in advance as an amateur boxer. This pseudo-intellectual view of racism and stereotypes of what is happening is serious in American cinema today. |
| If this Crash film could a negative score once, I would. Look, I understand, racism is bad. We all do it. Most people are not really racist. It's true! Racism still exists, but guess what, nobody has forgotten. This DivX Movie Crash is nothing more than a series of vignettes with no central story. There is an issue, of course, and that the issue is racism. But there is no story. In just one hour and forty five minutes of being beaten to death by unsubtle acting written characters in a moral dimension that makes a game of "Reefer Madness" seems balanced. What the writer and director (and apparently many of the respondents IMDb) do not understand is there is a rather big difference between "in your face" and "being hit in the face with a frying pan." Do not see this movie. Do not buy into the hype. Do not waste your money. Just turn on the TV in any "very special" episode of Blossom or nothing in the life of the canal, and you've already seen this movie. |
| This Crash Thriller was so bad. The role of the locksmith has acted well and, of course, Don Cheadle was good as was Matt Dillon. But please ... the rest of the papers were so overacted probably due to the sensational style of writing. Think that each of the characters are connected in some way is to put the turn of Hollywood "in an absurd notion. Brendan Frazer was miserable. For the amateur observer in motion, this was a great movie. Give me a break. Anybody can yell and scream or write a DVD film Crash where each scene is about racism. I felt like I was watching a scene of twelve films separately. Hollywood-dialog and twelve different films on each of the scene. Then you might have something worth seeing. |
| Shock is supposed to be a Crash Thriller film about racism in Los Angeles. But actually, it's just a lot of similarities between several characters who are connected with each other for one day in one of the largest cities in the world. Who the hell is going to believe that? There are situations unrealistic, one after another. Moreover, the Crash Thriller movie aims to show racism among Asians, Iranians, Latinos, blacks and whites. But the big mistake is based on a pre-set racism comes from the writer. Mainly because the white characters in this Crash Thriller film are portraits of people with a better socio-economic status than the rest of other races. The Iranians are poor, such as Asians. And Latinos are, as always, the portrait as a housewife, police officers, or with a very low profile work as a locksmith. Jesus! Do not you think it's time to change these stereotypes? Same with black gang members as a portrait, with the exception of a Black television director, who was the only new to me. This Crash Thriller film aims so hard, that makes me very disappointed by the kind of film: Crash that comes out of Hollywood these days. People always stereotype. No realism whatsoever. Nothing to identify with. It is simply a waste because it could have been a great opportunity to show Latinos, Koreans, Iranians, and blacks, from a different perspective. |
