Good for the fans. Definitely good for the fans. Americna But too much of a documentary style to be taken seriously. As to date, we can not hesitate to consider this document as a pure "propaganda" for the 2006 release of Superman. Images is excellent, though. Comments and descriptions are terribly bad, just puppets on a string. This is only a serious matter for the fans of the genre. Could have done better if the images have been demonstrated for all films, particularly the elderly, and to remind us of previous generations. Also comparisons with U.S. policy (and then gain / failures) is not an issue here, but it is deliberately used to support the marketing of a product. Peope did as Superman, because of the cartoons and movies, not because of politics! Only for serious fans.
Originally issued on the A & E network, this excellent documentary covers the history of Superman. Since the early 20th century to today's comic television and film, the Kevin Spacey-narrated piece covers much of the Superman myth. Woven into this story is how they are affected by culture and is reflected around them, from world wars and the 9 / 11. As a fan of Superman, this is a must. A & E (and later in2TV.com) program is 90 minutes. 2 hours of DVD will be released on June 20, 2006. This viewer is expected not only to "Superman Returns," but also the release of A & E documentary.
I thought it was an excellent documentary of the story from the beginning in the 1930s to the present. It covers the early comics, cartoons early, Superman, Superboy, Supergirl (although I would have won more time ...), Kirk Alyn, George Reeves, Gerard Christopher, and the whole gang. He had a great comment by Noel Neil and Jack Larson. He also referred to the "mysterious" death of George Reeves. It is, of course, had a good bit of Christopher Reeve with some of the auditions of other actors. Even had segments on The Return of Superman and an interview with Brandon Routh. I can not imagine any collection that do not have this DVD to go along with the other materials already available. For a beginner, and someone who has "blown up" with a towel, and in his dreams, this record is a treasure to see again and again!
This documentary is ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about the Earth biggest hero. If you want to know more about the mythology behind the hero, the hero of the creators or their history in comics, movies, television or radio, "The Amazing Story of Superman" has it all. Master Ken Burns documentary does a fantastic job of exploring all aspects and myth of Superman, from the 1930s and is today with the launch of the DVD movie Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman "Superman Returns." Explores Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster were the pride of Superman Golden Age and the strange and not so proud Silver Age, and the current day. Burns does an excellent job detailing the role played Superman in public through the years, and the different symbols that has advocated on the basis of the current situation in the country. He excels in the awareness that the audience for Superman in popular culture has had a very important place in society, regardless of whether his popularity has faltered in recent years. The documentary is a work of high quality. Thanks to Burns, you will feel like you know everything about the hero of the Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman film once it has finished.
Hardcore fans of Superman and Superman fans period will be very happy with this documentary. This year he became really interested in everything that Superman, thanks mainly to Superman Returns and Smallville. This documentary examines the history of Superman, literally, since day 1. The 1933 "Superman" crazy, the 1940s cartoon, the 1950 television series and film, his death at the hands of Doomsday, in 1993, works in television, with new adventures of Superman and Smallville, and triumphant return to the big screen are all fully discussed. All the supermen of George Reeves to Brandon Routh discussed. All the ups and downs of the history of Superman are discussed, including the drop in 70 years before Superman: The Movie. Brilliantly narrated by Kevin Spacey, this is really a need for all those interested in Superman.
Every aspect of the Superman comic books to radio, the series for Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman film and television, through all the films were presented with wit and humor and reflection on what had happened to many people connected with the entire spectrum. Celebrities, writers, directors and production staff who were interviewed not only gave his experience of the mythology of Superman, but his memories of working in or with different aspects and how it affects them both then and now. I recommend anyone who is a fan of Superman see this movie.

Download Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman Movie HereIn 1938, two aspiring comic strip talents, Jerry Siegal and Joe Shuster, published a character that would create a new genre of fantasy, Superman, the first superhero. This film explores the creation of the character and his subsequent evolution over the decades through various media. With various interviews of noted creative luminaries, the film shows how the character has adapted to the times and bounced back from times when he felt irrelevant to always regain his prominence as one of the great heroes of popular culture.
