| I saw an advance screening of the film: Borstal Boy last week and had the pleasure of speaking with Peter Sheridan later. In a nutshell, is the story of a young Brendan Behan, who discovers love, friendship and tragedy, while imprisoned in an English reform school. Although he refuses to denounce his IRA affiliations, Behan was released after his actions during a bizarre series of events at the school reveal their true character and more real. The DivX film Borstal Boy is very moving and well acted by an international cast. Sheridan made some bold casting choices (The Irish Behan is played by an American, Shawn Hatosy), but the results make for an enthralling movie. Go and see Borstal Boy. |
