This Resurrecting the Champ Sport movie deserves more attention than what we have now (and distribution). Samuel L. Jackson played against type and did a wonderful job. Josh Hartnett was also better performance. The story is inspiring, heart warming and interesting. The writing is solid and impressive results in all areas - even the guy who played the son of Hartnett was excellent. As a writer, I appreciate the topics tell the truth, the reputation, integrity, responsibility, talent, etc. The father-son theme is echoed throughout the film. As the field of dreams, this is a DivX film Resurrecting the Champ type of chicken. Take your husbands, children or parents and go see this movie.
Jackson stands out in this Resurrecting the Champ movie about an honest sports writer (played by Josh Hartnett), his estranged wife (Cold Case Kathryn Morris), which works to shine once more attention to a former boxer (Jackson) has been become homeless. In addition to Jackson, there are a lot of young Dakota Goyo Hartnett as the son, and Rachel Nichols as the co-worker who works in the investigation of the writer. This is director Rod Lurie most personal Resurrecting the Champ Sport film to date, and gives some serious problems to think, very rare in this threequel laden summer. There is also a surprise appearance by one of our finest character actors, and Alan Alda does a fine turn as head of Hartnett.
I just got home from the world premiere of the revival of the Field at the Sundance Film Festival. Everything that was expected to be and more. The first half of the Resurrecting the Champ film focuses primarily on Erik (Josh Hartnett) to learn more about the Champ (Samuel L. Jackson), a homeless man, who was a professional boxer known for a news article on paper. In a turn of events towards the end of the film, Erik winds up having more in common with the struggle of the Champ in life as a child with his father and then as a father to his son, he never thought he would . Erik has to reassess his own relationship with his son, wife, father and recently deceased, and to correct some errors that were committed in the past with them. Everything ties together so beautifully at the end of the Resurrecting the Champ Sport movie is very touching. The Resurrecting the Champ Sport film has the perfect mix of humor and seriousness. The casting is perfect for this DivX film Resurrecting the Champ from top to bottom and all the acting is wonderful. It would not surprise me at all if this Resurrecting the Champ Sport film does very well in theaters some time and also win great prizes. People who enjoy the sports they love this film, but there is much more depth to the film: Resurrecting the Champ not only that, so it's okay if you are not the kind of sports. Deeper messages and themes of this Resurrecting the Champ film have nothing to do with sport, and focus more on making good choices in life and accept that we are all going through life imperfect. Go to see that as soon as is humanly possible!
We loved this movie. He was moving without being sentimental, and was well directed, well acted and the story was well prepared. Sam Jackson completely immersed himself in that role and gave an Oscar worthy performance and Josh Hartnett was subtle, reflective and honest. It's great to know that they compete in the world of horror, Shoot 'em and festivals comics, movies still being made about the human tragedy they cause to think, which is inspired, but mostly entertaining. I thought this was eloquent, charming and had a great sense of humor. Go see this movie! And check out the cameo by Peter Coyote and Teri Hatcher .... impressive.
