| If so, and you like, then perhaps this is the Night and the City film for you. The cast of this DivX Movie Night and the City filled with a lot of good, solid character actors, but apparently forgot a coherent plot and a story to go with all these screen gems. This film: Night and the City will serve more than De Niro can make a vehicle, no matter how rusty and barely functioning, watchable. The way it is always and characters to attract the attention of this image is different. The DivX Movie Night and the City begins in a lot of different directions, then the old bait and switch, but not really going anywhere. The end is probably one of the worst of all time, I think that this was only targeted at any whim struck him at the time and at the end of two hours, the producers only bored and stopped the show. Unfulfilling and ultimately, unless it is a big fan De Niro, a complete waste of 2 hours. | I just finished watching Robert DeNiro in "Night in the City." DeNiro's classic role of "loser" Wannabe "winner" Harry is perfect Fabien especially when associated with the beautiful and talented Jessica Lange. Whenever it is that I watch on cable, and probably forever. DeNiro potrayal of a lawyer who always finished last and is determined to make a name for himself is perfect. I read another comment on this movie: Night and the City and was taken to write this in defense of a DivX film Night and the City that I love. I am very happy to see that Robert DeNiro has "six movies coming out in 2004. |
| Possibly the worst end to a DVD film Night and the City I've ever seen. Great action, great character development, a sense of impending doom, and then the DivX Movie Night and the City ends, inexplicably, in what is supposed to be a slight moment. Do not think that ever felt more betrayed by the end of a movie. The study and director dropped the ball on what could have been a classic movie. It's like that money ran out and fell behind schedule, while .... and were told very bad ... end it. Compelling story gone to waste with a bad title (which has nothing to do with the story), a ridiculously insulting ending, poor soundtrack, and a feeling of emptiness in the gut. SPOILER SPOILER. You absolutely want this to end, no. Now I want revenge on those who wasted my time with this piece of wasted potential anticlimactic. How embarrassing for me and Hollywood, and you also, if found. |
| SPOILER Many people have said that this is a bad movie. I have to disagree with them. I think this is a fairly entertaining drama, and has a good ending. I especially liked the main character, Harry Fabian. If you liked the King of Comedy, then you know what I mean. I loved the King of Comedy, and I found some similarities between the main character of Rupert Pupkin and Harry Fabian. Theres a little funny that tragicomic appeal to both, are both losers without hope, and unlikable. The irony is that the very naive Rupert, has his own comedy show in the final of the King of Comedy, but Harry Fabian, a tightening of the two shots and lost all his money. This Night and the City movie does not suffer from many flaws, such as warm characterizations, silly plot and mediocre direction, but the main character keeps the DivX Movie Night and the City from being total garbage. |

Together they get in a downward spiral, as they can't seem to deal with there problems. The lawyer just failed winning a case in court against a famous boxing organiser and he wants revenge by catching the organizer on his own territory: boxing. Although he knows nothing about boxing, with his fine talk he finds the help of a couple of people like the brother of his new enemy. But the relationship with his waitress doesn't make things double as hard.
