| I was expecting an epic romance drama horror Dracula movie and instead has a low-budget Dracula movie rush. The director made the Godfather ... What the hell is this? Positives: Great-score-Costumes-effective Some violent scenes and images (including a decrepit floating around Dracula in his castle, with shadows that follow him, and not a nightmare-Lucy in a doll-like robe), Anthony Hopkins , Gary Oldman Negatives: -CRAPPY special effects and makeup-scenes seem to be edited together for no particular reason the creation of a dining-disordered baaad written over the top melodrama (Who cares that this evil man who killed thousands of people have died ? I certainly do not feel Mina)-horrible by Keanu Reeves. I did not expect to go into a horrible performance, heck, I had hoped-WTF! Winona Ryder was terrible! -the excellent score could have been used in an explosive, powerful climax too bad the climax falls flat on its face. Dracula appears out of the carriage and I'm like YES! Something is happening! The fight lasted about 3 seconds and we were left with a scene where some, no one is dead and all crying |
| I've seen this DivX film Dracula probably ten times. Is undoubtedly the best DVD film Dracula of the Dracula story. The cinematography is excellent, the sound effects are absolutely incredible. It's lovely, unforgettable, delightful, exciting and all at once. It's the kind of DVD film Dracula that is so good that seem to be endless stories within it, and you can lose all sense of yourself when you watching. Absolutely huge. Top of the line. A classic of all time. Has a bit of a good western in it, some of the old-fashioned cinema, a lot of modern visual effects, a lot of talent without overdoing sex, the innocence of the permanent several young ladies to lighten the screen. The first person storytelling aspect fades in and out is also a very well done indeed key, you disconnect from the scenes to fashion an attentive listener to enter safely, allowing you to witness or imagine the horror is developing and then exploiting that deep inside the screen until it lost its essence. Great movie. Definitely recommend. Do not deprive yourself. |
| As is true of many of these last days of horror films, this is visually stunning. This is a particularly beautiful colors, wild special effects, lavish sets and a handful of pretty women, led by Winona Ryder. Beauty is not everything, there are some horrible and bloody moments here. I've seen the DivX film Dracula three times and the first two times it was terrifying for me in some parts. The final vision was not so scary, but maybe I was distracted by seeing it on DVD for the first time, improving the images and added some nice 5.1surround sound. In two hours and 10 minutes, it's a bit long but there are very few lulls in his case. Gary Oldham gives his usual strong performance as Dracula and Anthony Hopkins never hurts to have in the film. The only negative I found was Keannu Reeves, that sounds a bit of wood in their lines. Is it my imagination or is a terrible actor? Perhaps it is only your voice. However, Cary Elwes, Richard Grant, Bill Campbell Sadie Frost and give everyone a good support for this DVD movie Dracula is a veritable feast for the senses. |
