| Stargate is a good movie, a classic adventure DivX Movie Stargate where the adventurers find a big shiny piece of science, use it, somewhere so far away and encounter a dangerous enemy that wants to destroy the earth. Based in Egyptian mythology, the Stargate Sci-Fi film Stargate is just the beginning of an epic that includes two television programs. With great special effects (especially the guards face masks and how they disappear into their armor, not to mention weapons) and sumptuous, you can really believe that the team has finished in a distant, alien world. The characters are great to see in action, especially the interaction between O'Neill and Jackson. Then there's the evil Ra, which sets the rules for Gou'ald on the television program. The final climatic battle is very well done and you get a real sense of urgency with O'Neill unable to activate the nuclear weapon and faces against Daniel Ra. A great movie. |
| When I saw for the first time in 1996 Stargate I thought it was a great movie. It had a lot of action, emotion and special effects, but also a brilliant history. James Spader does a wonderful job as Daniel Jackson and ditto for Kurt Russell as Col. Jack O 'Neill. The villains of the Stargate Sci-Fi movie are very interesting and are a refreshing change to those who normally find in the movies. This film: Stargate probably would be of great interest to those interested in Egyptology or nothing to do with the ancient world. It is a lesson for Stargate Sci-Fi film lovers of ancient history. Overall, a great movie: Stargate that also generated a great TV series three years later. |
| Stargate plays like a 80, the update of 50 of the B-90 with the Stargate Sci-Fi film special effects. The setup is intriguing, with the first scenes of the atmosphere enough to evoke the feeling of early Spielberg. Unfortunately, everything goes wrong once you actually get through the Stargate. The end result is Hokey, po-faced and, most daunting of all, boring. The spin-off television series (much maligned by the director of the Stargate Sci-Fi film (Emmerich) and the producer Devlin) is much better. However, it could hardly have been too hard ... |

With a capable cast, solid script and an excellent set design, this is a big-budget adventure for viewers looking for pure escapist entertainment. The always reliable Kurt Russell plays the square-jawed, world weary Jack O'Neil, who is responsible for leading the military mission to another world. James Spader plays the brilliant archaeologist, Dr. Daniel Jackson. At that time, it was a different kind of role Spader and he is responsible for the content of his humorous scenes with great success. There is also an aspect to the "Game Mourn" 's Jaye Davidson as the evil baddie, Ra. Although the role of Davidson is quite small, it brings a presence to another world turn. Now a group of soldiers led by despondent Colonel Jack O'Neill go to the planet, also accompanying them is Jackson, who said that he can reactivate the Stargate to send them back but he forgot to mention that he needs to find the symbols and they can't find anything, so it appears that they are trapped. And if that isn't enough, some aliens arrive and capture them and have nefarious plans for Earth.
