| I show absolutely no hesitation in recommending any High Crimes Thriller film with Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption, Se7en), and this is no exception. The fact that I am an Ashley Judd (Double Jeopardy, Kiss the Girls) this fan makes a double pleasure. Let's Just ignore the fact that this High Crimes Thriller movie is a cliché, and sit back and enjoy it. Has enough players that love that there's something you enjoy. In addition to Judd and Freeman, who has Jesus (James Caviezel) as the man who hides his past, Amanda Peet (the set of nine meters) as a slutty sister, and is directed by Carl Franklin (after the deadline, with the Devil Blue Dress). Anyone who has seen more than a dozen films can easily predict what comes next as the High Crimes Thriller film develops, perhaps even the final, although it is the most illogical to me, so it will not encumber its brain. It's just another good opportunity to see Judd and Freeman. That's enough for me. |
| This is an interesting thriller that kept me guessing all the way until the end. Then, after seeing the final and thinking of the previous parts of the movie, I thought, "Why act that way?" It simply makes no sense really. There are certain behaviors that are portrayed along the way that simply does not Jive bringing the end of the High Crimes Thriller reveals the true facts of the case. This is a final that has been done before, but because of this issue, it was very unexpected, and that makes it even worse. The DivX Movie High Crimes is well done differently, and it is nice to finish. There are other endings that could have made this story credible. The shock factor is not there, but in this case, the shock factor is what is completely ruined the whole story. |

| High Crimes is a thriller formulas saved only by some strong performances and steady hand of director Carl Franklin. The story concerns a mass execution in a village in Latin America, and that the Army's cover-up. Attorney Claire Kubik (Ashley Judd) Ronald Chapman husband (James Caviezel) is wrongly (or perhaps correctly) accused of the largest slaughter of innocent civilians, while he was in the Marines. Their world is upside down, as it seeks to defend her husband in military court. Along the way it enlists the help of Grizzle attorney Charles Grimes (Morgan Freeman) to solve the complexities of military law. Predictable and uninspired, crimes Alto is almost completely forgettable save for his management style and solid work of Freeman and Judd. Freeman deserves better than this, which is a talented player who elevates the material that has to work, but I would like to see him in a role of meat that really challenge him. Judd, in my opinion, we need to devote more time to consider his career options. While generally has avoided the danger of women in scenarios of many of their contemporaries, by selecting the mechanical functions of this type is keeping its light under a bushel. |
