| Abroad, along with Gladiator, Ridley Scott's strong masterpiece. I had not heard of most of the movies until Scott Gladiator, and was surprised to find that an alien of their own after seeing the Alien? film Gladiator .... Both movies are impressive. However, this leads by insurance. It offers a bravo performance from the wonderful Sigourney Weaver, who plays our heroine smart, strong woman. Why is it so extraordinary is that the film: Alien? is so effective psychologically to see his almost unshakable. And his smart about how they deliver their emotions. For example, we see overseas only spectators in detail, most of the time that is set in the shadows, moving with deadly intent. It is disturbing to see how it is used to devour know their victims. Aliens was great, but does not match the magic of Aliens. Scotts as well as best. |
| Not only is beyond a great movie, is a huge influence for the future Si-Fi TV and film. Before Alien came out the idea of a "spacecraft" was a very clean and bright, luxurious hotel in space. But that was all to change, Ridley Scott, because the vision of a "haunted house in space" changed the way we see the spacecraft forever. It also gives a great atmosphere and watch the film, which is very important when making a horror movie. It is truly spine tingling, and a great artistic achievement at all levels. The design of the creature itself is great. And the way it always is hidden in the shadows, so I do not see it, makes your imagination fill in the gaps. And that is something that is scarier than any horror Alien? Horror you'll see in your life. The whole look and feel to the DVD film Alien? is brilliant. It creates a dark, disturbing atmosphere, and Ridley Scott does not give us an easy way out. |
| Probably the first sci-fi/horror, and definitely the best. By limiting the number of characters, and enclosing a confined space, Scott rising tension without having to resort to cheap thrills or buckets of blood (although the chest-bursting scene remains shockingly effective). Each of the characters is fairly well developed, and it is clear at the outset that we live and who will not, that the PPU also suspended. The production design is really cool, and is not dated at all, and the alien creature itself is quite original and still scared. Great performances too, and a good script, which is much more than a monster movie. |
