Bottom line - the best romantic comedy ever. This film: I.Q. accomplishes what all great films to fight for: the creation of a world and time again that we want to visit and we are glad to be part of the human race. When I'm blue, my spirit rose this movie: I.Q. and it makes me laugh (and that remains true after many viewings - always fresh). All players are in top form. The characterizations are so dead and the characters mesh so well together that you forget the actor (usually difficult to do with Matthau, and Ryan Robbins). The supporting cast is consistently brilliant: Fry ( "agae," "a total package of pygmies"), Jacoby and Saks and Maher (three theoretical physicists as the "Greek chorus" - "but time does not exist"), Durning ( "something that can launch from NJ), Shalhoub and Whaley (Robbins' boss and co-worker at the service station), and Curits (Eisenhower - How many comedies have Eisenhower?). Do not miss this forgotten treasure. |
A great romantic comedy, "IQ" is a charming piece of lint in a mechanic who woos the educated daughter of ol 'E = MC2 himself, Albert Einstein. Do not guffaw-inducing, but very pleasant fare given a considerable boost by his cast, especially Matthau, who is very well done as Mr. Einstein. |
Meet Ed. He's a automechanic. He is very intelligent, romantic and just a good guy. Meet Catherine, whose car breaks down right in front of his garage. She is beautiful, intelligent and a loving relationship. Now ... These two are going to beat out of it? No surprises so far, but this I.Q. Romance movie comes with a twist. You see, Catherine (Meg Ryan) is a scientist, and engaged with smart James (Stephen Fry). It turns out that Catherine believes that the brain is the most important thing in a man. And, after all, Ed (Tim Robbins) may be very smart (though he barely finished high school), it is no Einstein! Oh, speaking of Einstein, is another character in this movie! It turns out that Catherine is his niece. Some coincidence eh. Walter Matthau plays Einstein and you see that has a lot of fun to do. He and his friends (all super-intelligent scientists) to the laughter, as he tried to get Ed and Catherine together. The DivX Movie I.Q. starts fast pace, then took a step back. There is a great sub-plot with Ed writing, and then the defense of a theorem which he wrote, which is actually an old piece of Einstein, and he took an IQ test. But the main issue in the DVD movie I.Q. is that Ed and, in particular, Catherine finally realize that they are for each other. Good actors to make a couple of weak points in history, because this DivX film I.Q. is fun, but nothing special. 6 / 10. |
Download I.Q. Movie HereEdward Walters, an auto mechanic, falls for the intelligent and beautiful Catherine Boyd. It is love at first sight. There is however a problem, she's engaged to jerk James Moreland. Fortunately, Catherine's uncle likes Ed, and with his friends they scheme to make Catherine fall for Ed. The comedy in this movie stems from the fact that Catherine's uncle is none other than Albert Einstein, who's portrayed as a fun loving genius, as are his mischievous colleagues, Nathan, Kurt and Boris.
