completely original story, incredible animation. Enough of action, acting unbelievable. I really got involved with the characters of the story. It is interesting to see how everything went down in the final. Its so different then any other movie I've seen this year. You can do a parallel in any other science fiction movie. But if Vixelle making any film, which makes it all and makes his own way. The swift action last slows down in the center to participate in the characters. Its great, like the main character Vixelle, she wakes up in a city, and lost. You are lost. In no time, the plot has been dropped and left discourse less personally. You can not recommend this enough. Well and Death Note.
Vexille entered into on the heels of disappointing Appleseed Ex Machina and blown away. All this is first class, history, the time involved, it remains easy to follow and very attractive. You care about characters when they die, even those with limited screen time. For a standard (ie: no HD) disc, the image is fantastic, but I have seen in a PS3 so the upconverting may have helped. The mixture is completely immersive surround sound and goes a long way to get into the story. The action sequences, while somewhat derivative, are bright and very well staged and executed. All this is served so dramatically the music, which is a combination of Oakenfold's signature breakbeat techno and selected songs by other artists, and is never put off or out of place. Also, the anime style, a mixture of cell shaded 2D and CGI, is reminiscent of Appleseed, only a little more fluid and stylish. The Japanese audio track is solid as expected, and to my surprise the English copy is actually very well done. Bonus points for that. All told, Vexille is a must buy for cyberpunk, science fiction and anime fans, and it is undoubtedly a reference material for your home theater system. Highly recommended.
Well, so if you've read all other comments then you know that the animation of this movie is awesome! It is an excellent step forward for the hybrid animation. In addition, although not all respondents agree, my view of the action in this film is that it is sweet and sick (in the most radical fashion.) For the animation and action alone, this movie is totally worth the penalty rates for rent. Which brings us to the plot of the movie, while some respondents thought the plot was empty, or lack of merit, I am of the opinion of respondents who would probably not pay attention to all of the dialog box. The plot is well developed, more credible than many of the big-budget live-action Hollywood films (such as the Happening, which completely sucked), and has played along the social issue of fear of invasion technological pretty well But was rather a script formulas. The dialogue was a little weak, and there was much more serious character development, but the scripting not Verbal played pretty well. After all, this was an animated action film, and quite frankly is one of the best anime of the genre in recent years. To recapitulate, it is worth the cost of rent if only for visual imagery. However, if you have a highly developed sensitivity to the suspension of disbelief, and then you can also enjoy the story as a whole. I know I certainly did.
He saw this as a world premiere at the Locarno festival. In 2K DLP projection screen about 27m wide. It seemed pretty good, apart from some aliasing at times. The film is visually inspired by "Dune" (sandworms) and some others, but it is very interesting, with its mix of photography is not realistic and more realistic CGI elements. Will be greatly Blue Ray HD disc. The story is about a future that Japan has been protected from all foreign surveillance for 10 years so nobody knows what is happening. There are suspicions of illegal production of androids by a mega corporation with unclear objectives, potentially dangerous to the human race worldwide.
