This film is about a math professor and a graduate student trying to solve the murders that are connected by a mysterious serial code. "The murders of Oxford" spends too much time preparing and dragging on the relationship between Martin, Arthur Seldom, Beth and Lorna. I get the impression that the film ran out of ideas on the riddles and puzzles, therefore, formed by a series of love and jealousy scenes to fill the screen time. As a result, the first 70 minutes of the film by mistake, it focuses on the love tangles badly constructed, which is quite simple and boring. The next 20 minutes begins to be interesting as is the enigma in full, but it is too difficult to follow. Only the final turn captivated me, but it lasts only 5 minutes. If the riddles can be more evenly spaced and better presented, "The Oxford murders" could have been a great mystery. It could have been captivating as a simplified version of "Da Vinci Code," but, unfortunately, no. |
