| I have to say that all of Clancy novels that were made into films, with the exception of "The Sum of All Fears" were brought to life as great films. Harrison Ford reprises his role as Dr. Jack Ryan, who was forced into this movie: Clear and Present Danger to step into the shoes of Admiral Greer, who is dying. While there are a lot of characters in each personal life carefully inserted into the film, which never ceases to be intelligent and interesting. It's much better to see that picture without any sense of action with Bruce Willis or Ben Affleckish your wimpy little character. The Clear and Present Danger Drama film is perfectly balanced so that not a single boring scene in the picture. The wheels are turning constantly to make sure that something dramatic is going to really draw you more into the picture. I recommend this movie, and the two predecessors, "The Hunt for Red October" and "Patriot Games". Both of them are equally brilliant. |
| The makers of this DVD film Clear and Present Danger to be congratulated for turning a Tom Clancy doorstop in a tense, well-woven thriller with an international cast of first-class and believe plot. Should the two previous films of Jack Ryan relies on acrobatics and quite unbelievable plot twists this Clear and Present Danger film focuses on a little grubby military and political incident (plus the domain of men of intelligence) and men of honor and integrity ( Ford and used a low Dafoe) caught in the middle of it. I also like this Clear and Present Danger Drama film for its subtle dig at the establishment of America and the way it assumes that can force the weak to do its bidding. The character of Clark Clancy's fiction is an interesting and deserves to be further developed. Casting Willem Dafoe in the party really was a stroke of genius, and I could easily imagine his character in the bunch doing this kind of work if he had survived Vietnam. The fact that Dafoe is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood also means that I like this. |
| I do not know of anybody who does not like this film, clear and present danger. There was a funny cartoon I once read called clear and present that showed Dangerfield Rodney Dangerfield saying "I have no respect for these terrorists!" Very funny. The Clear and Present Danger Drama has some moments and some moments Cheesy patriotic John Wayne to be proud of. The book and the Clear and Present Danger Drama are different, but the book, like most of Tom Clancy's books are so long that they might not like in a movie. So, therefore, the DivX film Clear and Present Danger focuses on the parties with Jack Ryan and the other characters are almost the same. Henry Czerny is at the top as an actor in it and got some papers from his solid performance underestimated. Donald Moffat plays both sides a better president than any actor who would otherwise have served as a line meant dictator. As in the book, the president has no name, simply goes by the name of the President of the United States of America. Philip Noyce does a good job in leading this picture. And, of course, this is one of Harrison Ford the last big role since he did a Tom Hanks and has been desperate for an Oscar since then. In general, is a great DivX film Clear and Present Danger for everyone to enjoy. |
Download Clear and Present Danger Movie HereBased upon the Tom Clancy novel of the same name, Jack Ryan, a CIA analyst, is thrust right in the middle of a power struggle within the Colombian drug cartel after one of the President's 'life long' friends is murdered, apparently in retaliation for stealing money as part of a money laundering scheme for the cartel. Jack is then appointed acting Deputy Director of Intelligence, CIA, upon the terminal illness of Admiral James Greer, former DDI, and quickly gets in over his head due to his political naivete. The situation rapidly deteriorates when some of the presidents men convince the President to conduct covert actions against the cartel, in direct violation of congress. Felix Cortez, the security chief of Ernesto Escobeda, the 'victim' of the missing money, is one of the cartel boss's. Cortez tries to play both sides, appearing to inform Escobeda about the CIA's involvement in the covert operations against him, while trying to orchestrate a coup to take over the cartel, with Cortez as it's sole boss. James Cutter, the President's National Security Advisor, makes his own deal with Cortez, with the Presidents knowledge, and halts communications to the covert troops still in Colombia, through the Deputy Director of Operations, CIA, Robert Ritter. Ryan ends up going to Colombia to rescue the covet ops troops with the help of field agent John Clark, but not before some fence mending between the two, being that Ritter blamed Ryan for the comm outage, with Clark's men subsequently being captured by Cortez's mercenaries.
