| It is clear that one of the best of its kind, if Eagles Dare, comes across as a powerful spy drama with a high-adrenealin dose. Although the script is rather convoluted, it is very absorbent and keeps the viewer in the toes. Indeed, the intertwined history adds to the vitality and vigor of the film. Its like a guessing game that the director plays with the audience. Richard Burton epic letters from her usual and sensitive functions and donations in the mantle of a hard-Mayor. He is probably the support of Clint Eastwood who is impeccable in his talk little role of Lieutenant Schhaffer. The cinematography and background score for the film catapults to new heights. The title is the music remains disturbing and with you hours after the finish watching the movie. I think maybe a little more skillful editing would have allowed the film to be labeled as a classic. |
| For my generation (born in 1960) this was the ultimate adventure and the film of war. He was released around the same time as the Battle of Britain, and despite a very different kind of cinema, was considered almost like being in competition with him and beat him hands down. Frankly, we had not seen anything like it. Although the special effects are now, the movie is still good. The image of Clint Eastwood laconically standing at the top of a flight of stairs with a machine gun in hand and paused for dramatic effect before detonation created an indelible memory in a 10-year-old memory. When talking with friends my age about the film, when, inevitably, the film mentions that I wholeheartedly agree that it is also one of their favorites. |
