| If you were a fan of previous incarnations of Dick Tracy, then this is the DVD film Dick Tracy for you. If not, find another Dick Tracy movie to see ... Warren Beatty is a fairly decent job as Dick Tracy battles the underworld. Warren also this movie: Dick Tracy and did a good job. Dick Tracy was always a great character with an unmatched rogues gallery of villains (except for Batman). The villains are all here and prestige of the composition department that made the bad guys totally obnoxious. The plot is also quite good and the color is good, too. I think the Dick Tracy movie was shot in only six (or maybe seven) and sets the colors of the city are completely faithful to the original Dick Tracy comics. Obviously, this DVD movie Dick Tracy tried to emulate Batman, but immitation is the sincerest form of flattery. This film: Dick Tracy is almost as good as Batman, and certainly does not deserve the criticism it had when it first came out. One more thing-like Madonna breath Mahoney. I do not know if a DivX Movie Dick Tracy is adapted as Madonna, but it was great to see her because she is beautiful and improves with age. Overall, a cracker of a DVD film Dick Tracy that I urge young people to see, because it will enjoy it. |
| Too much style and the substance is not enough. That sums up this effort in 1990, faithfully based on the popular comic strip about the no-nonsense private dick in yellow trench coat and Fedora. Director Warren Beatty is decent in the title role of Tracy deals with grotesque villains, a rambunctious young boy and the demands of the two loves of his life - girlfriend Tess Trueheart and his work. Things get even more complicated when the framework for the murder and attempts to unravel a mystery set in motion by the mysterious man without a face. Worst of "Dick Tracy" - and it is not entirely a terrible Dick Tracy movie - is that the plot is not as consistent. We simply go from one scene to another without much thought or consequence. He is more like a series of those old series Cliffhanger that a Dick Tracy Drama without interruption. And Madonna, as a lounge singer breath Mahoney, is annoyingly trampy. In his defense, "Dick Tracy" has probably the greatest comic book style of any film. His use of color, makeup and musical interludes, it is sometimes amazing to see. But none of this has a story to match. It's like the writers felt that what Tracy to the big screen (this was not long after "Batman" exploded in theaters) was sufficient. Get the detective on the screen and the rest will follow. No, but even so, "Dick Tracy" has enough redeeming qualities to make it worth a rental on a slow night. |
| Dick Tracy is easily the best comic book-based Dick Tracy Drama film to date. The DivX film Dick Tracy has the same feel as the comic, staying true to the combination of colors. The Batman series has risen, fallen, fallen and risen again. Dick Tracy has some staying power as something that both adults and children can enjoy. The good triumph over evil, without blood and gore to get the point across. Al Pacino does a wonderful job of his own adaptation of Big Boy Caprice and Madonna is memorable as encouragement. But the best job for now is Warren Beatty, which represents only Dick Tracy just as it did with Clyde Barrows. I can not wait until it comes out on DVD on April 2, 2002, my tape running out. |
| Only reflected in this DVD and watch it again. I love the bright colors against a dark images. It's not a big fan Beatty, but this is an excellent Dick Tracy film popcorn. Pacino is amazing, as always, and so, this Dick Tracy movie marked the period in which Madonna was his absolute sexy. I wish he had stuck with the "encouragement" to look a little more time. Charlie Korsmo the first major role, other than "What about Bob?". The effects of cutting-edge makeup then and still hold for most of the cases. Beautiful scenery and the mood of transport directly into a comic environment. Cars, clothing, buildings, and even the street and a great tone, not to mention the perfect lighting, although the scenes with a lot of red can get a little annoying because it tends to blur a bit. Beatty had Only desire the opportunity to make a sequel. Still, a fun few hours. |
