Sarah (Lane), the centerpiece of the Must Love Dogs Comedy film is fortyish, newly divorced, and, of course, cringing at the prospect of returning to leave the game. The body of the Must Love Dogs film is all about Sarah, surrounded by a variety of relatives and friends struggling to cope with the difficult process of finding Mr. Right. A light romp that heart is just a new take on an old but tried and true premise, "Love Dogs" avoids the extremes of edginess, quirkiness, sentimentality, and corn and is concentrated in just a pleasant walk up to a stroke outcome predictable conclusion. Difficult not to like, but is unlikely to be memorable, this bit of fluff is respectable but rated brands IMDb.com 's voters, including an average of more than to please all demographics, the age of 30 -- 44 disillusionment group. "We Love Dogs" plays well with women and their partners, Lane Cusak and fans, and anyone in the mood of a low-cal DVD romcom clock. (B)
This Must Love Dogs Comedy had all the ingredients to be one of those romantic comedies that are also "good" movies. The cast is competent, all players welcome. But unfortunately, the writing is sub par. It's almost embarrassing to see Diane Lane (or any of the actresses playing the sisters) to recite lines like "boob shirt ...? Boob shirts? ... I have no shirts boob .. 'Or "... it is troubling that so many levels ..." and other topics and phrases fashion. While John Cusack escapes most of shame (which has the best lines, and the best performance), a DVD film Must Love Dogs is still below it. The DivX film Must Love Dogs has too many false moment to be enjoyed in full - has an obligation to Diane gay friend, and of course your drop dead gorgeous model, as a boyfriend, the big Irish family that seems to drop their accents from scene to scene, the trailer-park girlfriend, Diane the scene in which only appears in Cusack's home (how do you know where to go, and what was their hurry?), and of course, the 'game' in the final scene where of course, had to bring his dog. And indeed, even his dog and even the title makes no sense altogether. It is a shame, because as I said, the cast is pleasant. Only serves to demonstrate that without the right writer, even as larger companies can come through high school students to act.
What I like about dogs is that love is very fun and enjoyable without being too clichéd and over the top. The intelligent script and the performances were in the field. I loved the ditzy blonde girl - she was great and reminds me of Cameron Diaz. Diane Lane was great and very sweet (too good!) And John Cusack stole his scenes with his usual charisma unconventional. Add to the mix of other great performances by a supporting cast including Stockard Channing, Elizabeth Perkins, Dermot Mulroney and Christopher Plummer and you have a very interesting and entertaining comedy with much to recommend. A piece of quality entertainment that will make you laugh for sure.
I just returned from a preview of loving dogs and I could not stop several times to check my watch. I love John Cusack, but come next weekend's critics' comments, which undoubtedly called his agent, hoping against hope that something will be delivered in reviving his career after this horrible mistake. It's not your fault - the script is absolutely atrocious. It's like if you come across a letter by the first year of the student's writing. Each scenario is played in precisely the place of the nose, with nothing remotely approaching the subtlety, character motivation, or any consideration to save the single, simple plot. There are no subplots to speak of - all the conversations in the photo is so ham towards prescribed outcome. There are - literally - no surprise in the film. (And clearly PerfectMatch.com paid much for product placement, which was beaten on the head with his name.) Yes, it is assumed to be a romantic comedy, and we must make allowances for the genre. But the laughter is forced, the comic is now non-existent, and the whole piece feels like a low-budget student film. Or - as seems more appropriate, given the pedigree Goldberg - as a television producer making itself over the leap to the big screen.
Now, this Must Love Dogs Comedy will not go as one of the best romantic commedies of all time for that, sure, but quite frankly for most of the Must Love Dogs Comedy that I liked. He was cheerful and funny in light of the parties (to a large pile of shirts) The act was quite good. I've always loved Diane Lane and John Cusack, but my favorite actors in the Must Love Dogs film by far were those little preschool class at Lane. Who stole the show i thought. The only fall for this film: Must Love Dogs was the end. Of course going to be predictable-commedies are more romantic, but there is a thin line between being predictable and it is incredible and unrealistic and should be crossed Dogs love it. In the long run is worthwhile to see why non-secure. Is it worth seeing again? Definitely not.

Her family presses her to find a new Mr. Right, and her sister Carol (Elizabeth Perkins) puts her profile on the site PerfectMatch.com.
