| I was very surprised when I saw this movie. The action was very cool, Eddie was great fun and good. This is the kind of movie that a father and son to see and enjoy both. This is a true guilty pleasure. Although the movie does Eddie apparently the only person capable of talking to someone from committing a crime. But that's what made it fun and Goofy! The film does not take itself seriously, I like that. See, but do not expect The Godfather only expect an action movie Goofy. 8 |
| Many reviews I read about this movie say it's a pretty bad movie, but I do not know what they're talking about. METRO is a very interesting and enjoyable police action-thriller. Eddie Murphy is very good in one of his more serious roles, and Michael Wincott is very good as the psychotic jewel thief. Also, the action of the scene were first class, from the opening bank robbery scene, the famous persecution by cable car. Fans of the Eddie Murphy comedy may be disappointed in the movie, since it has a more serious tone to it and focuses more on action-comedy, action, but certainly the fans enjoy this one. 4 / 5 |
| Perhaps the biggest problem in Eddie Murphy's career has always been, that people expected to be a fast-talking man, whose mouth was in and out of trouble. As soon as he tried to escape from this formula, the spectators were disappointed to find that his films below average. If you leave it behind, "Metro" is a solid action movie with a couple of notable stunt scenes. It is also very nice to see that it is leaving some of the usual "senior police rookie partner is" behind the routine and playfully mocks some elements of a standard: you see a girl in front of his bathroom mirror in search of open something. The music swells. She begins to shut down and makes the viewer expect? To see the murderer's face when the mirror is closed. But nothing. These bits are really refreshing.
