| Now that I'm in my thirty find most of the films cliché and uninteresting, especially the action genre, SWAT, face, swordfish, XXX, axis, do I have to follow. However, the people, for some reason, actually pay money to see these films. I have begun to come into my pompous intellectual stage, but I still have a big weakness for movies teenagers. Animal house, Ferris, Weird Science, bachelor and, more recently, a resurgence in American Pie, Road trip, have a cow and Van Wilder. All these films are great, IMO. Of course you are predictable, a little cliche, occasionally crude, and certainly a little child, but they are bloody funny. The only rule is a comedy to be funny. I suppose that if we are honest that period of our lives should be better. At least you have the innocence and optimism of knowing your life is in front of you and get established and have fun, is almost the only thing on his mind (that has not changed, if we are honest). I am disappointed that so many people criticize a film that clearly was not meant to be taken too seriously and it is really funny. Great stuff, please follow May. |
| Some critics felt the need to make a name for himself and proclaimed this movie like "Animal House for the new generation !"... This film has nothing to do Animal House. It could not be farther from it, for one simple reason. "Van Wilder" seeks, and why it does, I can not imagine, to wrap on feelings and messages on the maturity or something along those lines. This is to reach a reasonable conclusion. In "Animal House" has just said "F *** it" and the parade of trash. The writers have forgotten what he did "Animal House" a classic? It is not the crude humor or the massive display of lust, but those contributed. What made the deltas is the great sense of lawlessness rampant that some "movies teens", if any, have captured since then. "Van Wilder" is a disgrace to the National Lampoon logo and its creators should be stoned at the city gates. |
| This is a great movie, I do not think that the critics in this case. If you get in this DVD can advance through the two above the top gross out scenes that virtually assured this movie would be terrible to get feedback. The rest is pure comic genius in the often amusing but rarely outstanding, the field of child comedy of the university. This is my new favorite movie! ps. The best jokes in this film are based on sex or sexual inuendo. If you do not like, you can count on this movie, but then again, you probably already knew that. |
| Finally caught up with "Van Wilder" on DVD for an article about what happened to brotherhood / College of films from "Animal House" and the most surprising thing about this stupid mess that is his best scenes are those deleted. Containing character development, plot exposure, and textures (well, sort of) that have made the rest of the movie interesting if they'd been left in. Oh, yes, nobody else has noticed that "Van Wilder" is gay? It is not the actor, character, and not all gays, just the gay stereotype. Lookit: fey touches, who rolls her eyes a lot, who spends excessive energy to get other guys, but not for himself, his only contact with heterosexual women is the aggressor, that always comes to girls, but never follows through, No kisses, and if his voice was higher than any would like to be Tara Reid. At that level, maybe, "Van Wilder" is a subversive film. But that is to give 18 credits more than it deserves. |
| Is this the most exciting image? Is not break with philosophical learning and jazz? It is not that incredible for use of jokes and humor ramplón Dick? Hellz ya. I love this movie because it always at its Comedy Central and has two or three times every time it just made me laugh. Moreover, this was before the disaster, Tara Reid, so it looks decent. The cast is not exactly high-level, but to be honest, this movie does not need an impressive cast, all you need is a lot of people who can do a good fart joke and a dog with prosthetic testicles. The story has been, obviously, but before he told an updated collection of gags and sophomoric humor to keep this film in front of the pack. Bottom line, if you're looking to see a movie with some friends at 1 o'clock in the morning after a heavy night drinking, you can not go wrong with this. At the same time, Gwen who writes for the college paper, is tasked with doing a story on him, but Van is too busy partying to do that. So she writes it using info from people who talk about him and writes an unflattering piece, which doesn't make him happy. He then dares her to see if she can get the true story but is more interested in trying to score with her, which is not easy because she has a boyfriend, who is a snob, and who is not too happy with the amount time she is spending with him. So he tries to get rid of him.
